About Me
I am Tabytha Ann McConahy, an emerging fine artist and passionate creative professional whose work is rooted in technical mastery and fueled by perpetual exploration. I graduated from Youngstown State University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and am currently based in the Youngstown area.
My artistic heart has a deep connection to the timeless, raw power of charcoal drawing. For me, this monochromatic medium is the most direct way to capture the depth, texture, and emotional complexity of a subject. I dedicate a significant portion of my time to creating commissioned charcoal artworks, focusing on pieces that resonate profoundly with my patrons. My practice is built on a foundation of academic skill, allowing me to render powerful, deeply expressive, and highly detailed pieces.
Never satisfied with a single horizon, I am continually driven to explore the endless possibilities that multiple mediums offer. This curiosity has led me to embark on an intensive new path as the newest apprentice at Full Circle Body Art. I view the transition from charcoal on paper to ink on skin not as a departure, but as a natural evolution—a new challenge in transferring intention and skill onto a living, breathing canvas.
My portfolio is a testament to this dynamic blend of disciplines, showcasing a career that values both the meticulous study of classical fine art and the courageous pursuit of contemporary craft. My work reflects a singular vision: to create compelling, permanent, and expressive art in whatever form it takes.
